We are looking for a Data Scientist with strong analytical foundations and hands-on experience in marketing analytics, especially Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), attribution, forecasting, optimization and business experimentation.<br/><br/>This role sits at the intersection of data science, econometrics, AI-enabled analytics, and business strategy. You will work with marketing, sales, retail, and consumer datasets to help brands optimize media investments, improve commercial performance, and drive measurable business outcomes.<br/>The ideal candidate combines statistical rigor with modern AI tooling, understands how marketing ecosystems are evolving, and can translate complex analyses into business-ready recommendations for senior stakeholders.<p></p><p><b>Job Description:</b></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><p><b>Marketing Mix Modeling & Measurement</b></p><ul><li>Build, maintain, and enhance MMM frameworks across digital, offline, retail, and trade channels</li><li>Develop econometric models to quantify media effectiveness, incrementality, halo effects, and ROI</li><li>Design approaches for granular optimization across geography, channel, SKU, audience, and funnel stage</li><li>Evaluate short-term vs long-term media impact, saturation, adstock, carryover, and diminishing returns</li><li>Support budget allocation and scenario planning using optimization techniques</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Advanced Marketing Analytics</b></p><ul><li>Build attribution, propensity, segmentation, pricing, and forecasting models</li><li>Develop KPI frameworks across brand, performance, commerce, and retail execution ecosystems</li><li>Support analytics for launch planning, product-market fit, and customer lifecycle optimization</li></ul><p></p><p><b>AI-Enabled Analytics & Automation</b></p><ul><li>Leverage modern AI/LLM tools to accelerate insight generation, code development, QA, documentation, and storytelling</li><li>Build reusable analytics pipelines and modular modeling frameworks</li><li>Explore applications of GenAI agents for automated reporting, scenario generation, simulation, and insight synthesis</li><li>Work with cloud and modern data stack tools to improve scalability and speed-to-insight</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Stakeholder Management & Storytelling</b></p><ul><li>Translate analytical outputs into clear business narratives and strategic recommendations</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with consulting, media, engineering, and business stakeholders</li><li>Create impactful visualizations and executive-ready presentations</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related quantitative field</li><li>1-2 years of experience in marketing analytics, econometrics, commercial analytics, or applied data science</li><li>Hands-on experience building or supporting MMMs and marketing effectiveness studies</li><li>Strong understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning concepts</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Technical Skills</b></p><p></p><p><b>Core Analytics</b></p><ul><li>Regression modeling, time-series analysis, forecasting, optimization, clustering</li><li>Causal inference, experimentation, Bayesian methods, hypothesis testing</li><li>Understanding of media metrics, marketing funnels, and commercial KPIs</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Programming & Tools</b></p><ul><li>Strong proficiency in Python / R</li><li>SQL proficiency for large-scale data manipulation</li><li>Experience with libraries/frameworks such as: PyMC, Stan, statsmodels, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch</li><li>Familiarity with cloud ecosystems such as AWS, GCP, or Azure</li><li>Experience using BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Streamlit</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Modern AI & Workflow Tooling</b></p><ul><li>Familiarity with LLM-assisted workflows, AI copilots, and modern analytics automation tools</li><li>Understanding of retrieval-augmented systems, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted coding workflows is a plus</li><li>Experience building scalable and reusable analytics workflows is preferred</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What We’re Looking For</b></p><ul><li>Strong problem-solving and structured thinking ability</li><li>Ability to balance analytical rigor with business practicality</li><li>Curiosity around how AI is transforming analytics and consulting workflows</li><li>Strong communication and storytelling skills</li><li>Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Experience</b></p><p>Candidates with experience in any of the following will have an advantage:</p><ul><li>FMCG / Retail / Consumer Goods analytics</li><li>Media effectiveness and budget optimization</li><li>Retail execution analytics and demand forecasting</li><li>Multi-touch attribution and customer analytics</li><li>Consulting or client-facing analytics environments</li><li>Building analytics products, accelerators, or internal tools</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Location:</b></p>Bangalore<p></p><p><b>Brand:</b></p>Dentsu X<p></p><p><b>Time Type:</b></p>Full time<p></p><p><b>Contract Type:</b></p>Permanent
