Iress is one of Australia’s largest technology companies and employs more than 2,500 people across Australia, The United Kingdom, Africa, Canada, France, New Zealand and Asia.</span></p><p></p><p><b>Build your career at Iress!</b></p><p><span> </span></p><p><span>At Iress, a key role within the Product &amp; Development team is the Product Manager, whose primary role is to research the market, competitive landscape and our users' needs, to define product vision and strategy, and with Iress’ engineering teams translate this vision into brilliant software products. </span></p><p><span>The Market Data Distribution Services (MDDS) team manages over 60 data applications, services, and internal tools that form the foundational architecture of the Global Trading and Market Data ecosystem. This highly technical platform product management role has a dual mandate: acting as the internal <span>"platform-as-a-service"</span> product owner for all internal consumer teams, and managing the client-facing Web Services API. A core focus of this role is to drive the strategic evolution of our legacy technology stack towards a modern, scalable architecture, unlocking new commercial value from our extensive data assets along the way.</span></p><p></p><p><b>Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:</b></p><ul><li><p>Platform Strategy &amp; Alignment:<span> Own and articulate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the core market data platform. Act as the primary product partner for all internal consumer teams, ensuring their roadmaps are understood and that the distribution platform's roadmap is aligned to support overarching business goals. </span></p></li><li><p>Technical Discovery &amp; Definition: <span>Work in close partnership with engineers and technical leads to develop robust problem definitions and support continuous product discovery. </span></p></li><li><p>Scalable Solutions: <span>Analyse and identify thematic problem patterns from various consumer teams and support incidents, ensuring that new solutions are scalable, reusable, and aligned with our target architectural model and modernisation efforts. </span></p></li><li><p>API Product Lifecycle Management:<span> Manage the complete product pipeline for the client-facing Web Services API, prioritising the backlog to balance new feature development with essential maintenance, and ensuring continuous compliance with evolving information security standards and vendor obligations. </span></p></li><li><p>Operational Tooling:<span> Oversee the management and continuous improvement of critical internal operational tools, including our billing and entitlement systems. </span></p></li><li><p>Platform Health: <span>Maintain a deep understanding of the client and internal support landscape. Define and monitor key platform health metrics (e.g., uptime, API performance, adoption rates) to ensure the platform meets its service-level objectives, championing continuous improvement for stability and reliability. </span></p></li><li><p>Cross-Functional Execution:<span> Ensure product backlogs are regularly groomed and accurately reflect current status.
