As a Financial Analyst, you will provide insights and contribute to the financial success and strategic planning of Horrocks.<strong> </strong> <br/><h3>What are the core responsibilities for the role?</h3><ul> <li>Assist in preparing financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business planning</li> <li>Assist in monthly project financial reviews</li> <li>Assist in contract/fee estimate financial reviews </li> <li>Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to Business Line Leadership and Executive Leadership Team for decision-making </li> <li>Contribute to the annual budgeting process by collaborating with corporate department heads to help establish and track progress on individual budgets. </li> <li>Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial targets are met on individual projects </li> <li>Consult project managers across the business on best practices for pricing/contracts</li> <li>Collaborate with project accountants on project budgets and project review findings</li> <li>Special projects, as needed.</li> </ul><br/><h3>Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies: </h3><ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business from an accredited university </li> <li>0-2 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (Experience in the Civil Engineering Industry, a plus) </li> <li>Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis </li> <li>Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel </li> <li>Experience with Deltek and PowerBI, a plus </li> <li>Experience with GAAP accounting, ASC 606, a plus </li> <li>Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, a plus</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills </li> <li>Self-Motivated </li> </ul><br/><h3>Why would a candidate want this job? </h3><strong>At Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
