Stew’s earned its nickname, the “Disneyland of Dairy Stores” because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop.<br/><br/><br/>Human Resources Assistant<br/>Full Time Hourly – Estimated pay range $18.60 to $19.50 depending on qualifications and experience<br/>Must be at least 18 years and older<br/><br/><br/>Position Description:<br/>The Human Resources Assistant handles a variety of personnel related administrative duties and acts as a liaison between Human Resources and team members. They provide daily support in all HR functions and activities and assist in coordinating HR policies, processes, and relevant documents.<br/><br/>Your day-to-day:<br/><br/> • Assist team members with questions and inquiries related to HR policies, payroll, benefits, wellness, and training<br/> • Support in both external and internal online job application system – screen and organize applications as appropriate, ensure follow-up with applicants<br/> • Schedule and conduct first interviews, make hiring recommendations<br/> • Assist in the onboarding of newly hired team members; gather records for all new hires – I-9s, working papers, background checks, orientation paperwork, etc.<br/> • Conduct new hire Orientations, Go for the Gold, Tips training, and other benefits enrollments<br/> • Ensure accurate timekeeping by entering error logs and correcting missed punches, when necessary<br/> • Maintain accurate personnel and training files on the HR Dayforce system<br/> • Assist in the planning and execution of team member events (luncheons, bulletin boards, Rec. Association events, etc.)<br/> • Promoting a safe place to work by conducting safety walks, holding safety committee meetings, and celebrating safety lunches<br/> • Follow up with Team members on 14-day chats<br/> • Communication between Team members on leave, providing them with the necessary paperwork<br/> • Prepare informational reports, upon request<br/> • Other duties, as assigned<br/><br/>Qualifications:<br/><br/> • High School Diploma, or equivalent<br/> • Strong communications skills, both written and oral<br/> • Above average computer skills, with preferred experience in Dayforce, Microsoft Office suites, and The Stew Leonard’s Round-up<br/> • Able to prioritize and multi-task and juggle many tasks<br/> • Strong organizational skills<br/> • Strong time management skills<br/> • Comfortable with speaking in public/presentations<br/> • Basic knowledge of labor laws<br/><br/>What you bring to the team:<br/><br/> • Lead by example<br/> • Great work ethic<br/> • Great interpersonal skills<br/> • Problem solver<br/> • Honest<br/> • Flexible<br/> • Discrete and ethical<br/> • Ability to work on a team<br/><br/>Working Conditions:<br/><br/> • Normal office work environment<br/><br/>Satisfy:<br/> • Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude, ensuring that each customer feels welcome and appreciated.<br/>Teamwork:<br/> • Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the store, offering assistance and support where needed.<br/>Excellence:<br/> • Improve and maintain the efficiency of the store in order to reach success.<br/>Wow:<br/> • Be a positive ambassador for the store, representing our S.T.E.W. values in all interactions with customers and team members.
