Financial Analyst

As a Financial Analyst at Ackermann Group, you will be responsible for providing general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and ad hoc projects for commercial and multi-family real estate assets and investors. This role monitors and reports on day-to-day accounting and financial transactions and processes related to residential and commercial property management, in accordance with the policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual. Additional responsibilites include:</p> <ul> <li>General Ledger maintenance, including preparing and posting journal entries and cash receipts, identifying and correcting errors in coding or booking</li> <li>Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and budgets for multiple entities</li> <li>Monthly account reconciliations for cash, receivables, payables, accruals and lender obligations</li> <li>Provide accurate, timely and relevant recording, reporting and analysis of financial information</li> <li>Escrow and Cash Flow management</li> <li>Identify areas for improvement and aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines</li> <li>Communicate results with on site property management teams</li> <li>Research variances and report accordingly</li> <li>Coordinate data transfers between multiple software systems</li> <li>Ability to keep processes on time with communication with supervisor is critical</li> <li>Demonstrate intermediate to advance skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Highly detailed-oriented</li> <li>Operate independently and handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.</li> <li>Represents the Company in a professional manner at all times. Consistently maintains a professional courteous attitude when dealing with residents, coworkers and the general public.</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li> </ul>
