Apply today to become part of the Universal team! </p><p></p><p><b>This position is fully onsite Monday through Friday in Warren, MI.</b></p><p></p><p><b>Primary Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Collaborate daily with managers and leaders while reporting to the Segment Group Controller.</li><li>Prepare monthly financial packages for subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.</li><li>Manage monthly financial reporting, including account reconciliations and detailed financial analysis.</li><li>Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic decision-making.</li><li>Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.</li><li>Assist in maintaining and improving internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX and company policies.</li><li>Understand a cost model that lives within multiple systems</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What We’re Looking For:</b></p><p>Professional Experience:</p><ul><li>Proven experience in a publicly traded company with a robust internal control environment.</li><li>2-5 years of general ledger and financial reporting experience, preferably in a multi-entity and multi-location organization.</li></ul><p>Technical Expertise:</p><ul><li>Strong knowledge of US GAAP principles and SOX compliance requirements.</li><li>Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.</li><li>Experience working with multiple ERP and accounting systems is highly desirable.</li></ul><p>Soft Skills:</p><ul><li>A proactive mindset with a strong sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.</li><li>Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to present financial information clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.</li><li>A collaborative spirit with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What we offer:</b></p><ul><li>Competitive pay with reviews for advancement</li><li>Benefits including major medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off, and more!</li></ul>
