<h2><strong>Product Manager – MQ Power (Lifecycle & Operations)</strong></h2> <p><strong>Full-Time • Exempt • Cypress, CA • Monday–Friday (Hybrid)</strong></p> <p>Multiquip is seeking a strategic and customer-focused <strong>Product Manager</strong> to lead and grow our MQ Power product line. <h2><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Own and manage assigned MQ Power product lines through the full lifecycle, including development, optimization, cost reduction, and end-of-life decisions</li> <li>Develop product strategies, roadmaps, and business plans aligned with company growth objectives</li> <li>Identify new product opportunities through market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Market Insight & Customer Focus</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Act as the voice of the customer by understanding application needs across rental, construction, industrial, and end-user segments</li> <li>Ensure products deliver strong economic value while meeting performance, cost, and profitability targets</li> <li>Lead Voice of Customer (VOC) initiatives to inform product decisions and enhancements</li> </ul> <h3><strong>New Product Development & Execution</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Define product specifications and build business cases for new product introductions</li> <li>Partner with Engineering and cross-functional teams to launch products successfully and on time</li> <li>Support customized product requests (CPRs) by coordinating across Sales, Engineering, and Operations</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Supplier & Partner Management</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary liaison with suppliers to develop, test, and improve product offerings</li> <li>Address quality concerns, manage improvements, and support warranty resolution efforts</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Performance, Pricing & Inventory</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Monitor product performance, warranty trends, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement</li> <li>Partner with Supply Chain to manage inventory levels aligned with demand</li> <li>Support pricing strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Work closely with Sales, Service, Parts, Marketing, Engineering, and Finance teams</li> <li>Provide product training and application expertise to internal teams and customers</li> <li>Support marketing initiatives, technical documentation, and trade show participation</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Market Intelligence & Communication</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and market research</li> <li>Communicate product updates, improvements, and key insights across internal teams and external partners</li> </ul>
<h2><strong>What You Bring</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Experience & Education</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li> <li>3–5 years of product management or related experience within power equipment, industrial machinery, or manufacturing industries</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Technical & Industry Knowledge</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Understanding of power generation equipment, generators, or related industrial products preferred</li> <li>Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and product documentation</li> <li>Technical aptitude in mechanical and/or electrical systems</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Business & Analytical Skills</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Experience managing product lifecycles, including new product introduction and profitability optimization</li> <li>Strong analytical skills in market research, competitive analysis, and financial evaluation</li> <li>Proven ability to manage multiple product lines and priorities</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Communication & Collaboration</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and leadership</li> <li>Strong presentation and training capabilities</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Tools & Organization</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Highly organized with strong project management skills</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with product management or roadmapping tools is a plus</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Additional Requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Ability to travel up to 10% for customer visits, supplier meetings, and industry events</li> </ul>
